Delhi, India’s capital has a big history behind it. The city is rich in many monuments, mosques, and forts which were once occupied by the Mughal rulers. The difference between New Delhi and Old Delhi is immense and both cities are worth to explore. Delhi is a mixture of both tradition and modernity. Top 10 attractions of Delhi

Red Fort
Red Fort is one of the best in Delhi's top attractions. The Red Fort was built in 1648 by fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan that shows India’s struggle for freedom. The fort is located in the opposite side of Chandni Chowk market, Old Delhi







Qutub Minar

The Qutub Minar is India’s tallest minaret surrounded by all greeneries. This was built in 1206 with a height of 70 meters. The reasons behind building this Minar is still a mystery. The tower has five stories and its located in Mehrauli, south Delhi.




Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid is the largest Islamic mosque and it was built in the 17th century and is the landmark of incredible Delhi. There is so much space inside the mosque that 25000 people can come together to worship easily, especially on Friday.





Chandni Chowk
Chandni Chowk also known as moonlight street is one of the oldest markets of Delhi. People often find there with driving Rikshaws and selling things based on Indian culture. Whenever you’ll visit it you’ll see how Delhi’s people survive for their lives.




The Lotus Temple
Lotus Temple is the symbol of peace and happiness. It’s an architectural delight made of pure marbles so that the beauty of white marbles and the coolness of the inner environment of the temple gives you the inner peace. Its size is exactly like Lotus Flowers and there is a strict rule of silence. The Lotus Temple is also called as Bahai House of Worship.



Lodhi Gardens
The Lodhi Gardens were built in 1936. India Gate
India gate was made in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in the Afghan war in October 2001. This 42-meter high landmark of Delhi bear the names on its walls of all 13500 soldiers who lost their lives.





Humayun’s Tomb
This mausoleum was built in 1570 by the second Mughal emperor Humayun. The mausoleum was built keeping in mind the beauty of Taj Mahal that's why it looks a bit like Taj Mahal. The tomb was a broadcast of Mughal architecture. The tomb is located in Nizamuddin East, New Delhi.





Gandhi Smriti and Raj Ghat
Gandhi Ghat is the place where Mahatma Gandhi was referred to as the father of Nation. He lived here for almost half a year in his last days and the place always kept open for public. The place is located in central Delhi. 






National Zoological Park
The national zoological park was established in 1959. The Park is one of the best zoos in India with 1500 animals and birds. The beauty of this park attracts visitors. You will found animals here like chimpanzees, along with hippopotamuses, spider monkeys, zebras, hyenas, deer, jaguars, and tigers. The park is located at Mathura Road, New Delhi.
