In India, there are many different culture and religions and each religion has a different way of living and culture. India is a wonderful country which celebrates many festivals every year. Some festivals like Holi, Diwali, Navratri etc are the common festival celebrate all over India but there are some special festivals are celebrated in the certain state of India. Each festival is celebrated with higher importance, in a different fashion, and on a different occasion. Festivals are always the most joyful and memorable part of our life and every festival gives us a lesson. #1 Brahmotsavam Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, the most traditional and important festival is celebrated at Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. This festival is celebrated for nine days in the month of September and October.
The murti of Lord Venkateswara with his consort Sridevi and Bhudevi takes on procession on the street or around the temple.

#2 Bohag Bihu: Assam

In Assam, Bohag Bihu is celebrated on the occasion of the new year and on arrival of spring which is the symbol of coming new agriculture cycle. On these festivals their many fairs are organized, people go in each others house to wish them and to give gifts. On this day young girls wear the traditional dress and do the traditional dance Mukoli Bihu.

#3 Losar Festival Arunachal Pradesh

Losar festival is celebrated on the new years and it is celebrated at the end of 3 days of January or February. On Losar festival, there are events organized like a dance of deer and fight of king and ministers. Losar festival celebrates every year with the dance, music, serenity and different interesting events.

#4 Bastar Dussehra  Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, the Bastar Dussehra is celebrated and it the world's longest Dussehra celebration over 75 days and it is starting from August and end in October. People celebrate with traditional customs and happiness.

#5 Chhath Puja: Bihar

Chhath puja celebrated due to worshiping the sun by the people of Bihar. It arrives in the month of October or November.On Chhath puja people dress up in new cloth and gather on a river to celebrate. There are lamps are lit and a folk song is sing in the honor of Chhath Maiya and in the night people lite the lamps in the house.

#6 Navratri Gujarat

The most famous festival in Gujarat is Navratri. The festival Navratri celebrate for the nine days and the people do the worship of nav Mata and in the night people enjoy by doing the dandiya dance.

#7 Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha Jammu and Kashmir

Eid ul Fitr is the festival of the symbol of Qurbani. On this day Muslim people of Jammu and Kashmir sacrifice the goats and camels. Muslim people wear new clothes and go for many feasts. They also do the worship of Allah.

#8 Baisakhi Haryana

Baisakhi is celebrated in the Haryana and Punjab. It is celebrated by the farmers of Haryana and Punjab at the time of harvesting the rabi crops. On this day men and women celebrate in fields by doing the traditional dance bhangra and giddy. There are various fairs are also organized on this day.

#9 Gochi Himachal Pradesh

The Gochi festival was found by the Bhaga valley. It is celebrated due to the birth of male children. On this day the below the six years children the token marriage is performed and throw the snowball to each other to enjoy the festival.

#10 Onam Kerala

Onam is the most popular and important festival of Kerala.It is celebrated to welcome the great king Mahabali. On this day people celebrate by performing traditional dance, folk song, snake boat race, games, flowers etc.
